A Lowchen is a great addition to any family. They are great with kids and get along well with other pets. The coat may appear daunting, but really it's a trip to the groomer every 4-6 weeks and you need to do very little yourself!

 

We usually have a litter once or twice a year. Our puppies are raised in our house and all of them are bred by us. We don't sell dogs on behalf of anyone else and we do not work as an agent for other breeders or stud owners. What you see is what you get.

 

We do not take deposits for puppies until we have mated a bitch. We also don't take multiple deposits on mating. This is to ensure that people don't pay for a dog we can't supply. Lowchen have around 3-4 pups and we usually retain one or there is one that will be shown, in this case you ill not get to chose your puppy until that puppy has been selected. We don't let pet buyers choose the sex of their puppy, if there are 5 boys to choose from then you take your pick from them. If you choose to wait for a girl, you go back to the bottom of the waiting list. We feel this is the fairest way to ensure that all perspective homes for our beautiful babies get equal opportunity to obtain a puppy.

 

There are very few health tests we can do for Lowchen. We do check eyes and hearts because they are the easiest non-invasive tests we can do but you will not be presented with a giant folder of health tests because we simply don't require this to be done. Lowchen are easily one of the most problem free purebred breeds.

 

`If you are on our waiting list, please let us know if you have aquired a dog elsewhere or are no longer interested, this just saves time for us when getting intouch with people on the list. We will usually only call the number of people we have puppies for, if we are waiting for you to get back to us and you are no longer interested then you are wasting our time when we could have called somoeone else.

Unfortunately, even though we mated both our breeding bitches we only successfully whelped one litter. Carmen did not conceve and no progeny resulted from the mating. The matings are as follows;

AU Ch. Kilgarrin Ruled By Secrecy x AU Ch. Kilgarrin Hard Hearted Hannah - 6 puppies resulted.

As we are wishing to further retain from Carmen, she will be mated again when she next comes in season. The mating will be as follows;

This mating is arguably the most successful cross in our breeding program and we look forward to the resulting progeny.
