Ch. Jonquilow Must Be Magic

Chandler was bred by Pat Jones and Karen Quiggly of Jonquilow Lowchen. He set the bar for what Devon and Robyn wanted for the future of Kilgarrin and really stamped quality onto his progeny.

Chandler was tested with normal eyes via the ACES system.

He had three litters over his lifetime, but unfortunately the entire litter to Aust Ch. Tilcha Glory N Torino died from a bacteria infection around the time of weaning.

Out of his surviving progeny, 60% went on to gain their Championship titles, with 100% being awarded challenges and 100% have been used to further the breeding programs of 5 different Lowchen breeders in 3 different countries. To say that his bloodline has gone onto great successes is an understatement.

Chandler won;

1x Best Intermediate In Group1

1x Best Open In Group 1

Reserve Dog Challenge at Melbourne Royal 2007 from the Open class

Chandler is now happily retired from both the show ring and stud, living the leisurely life at Kilgarrin.

Aja was another of Pat and Karen's breeding. She also has clear eye exams via the ACES sysetem.

Devon finished her championship title quickly as she was obtained for breeding purposes with Pat's guidance.

After two litters with Kilgarrin, she went over the Tasman to Jane of Jonja.

Aja was always an active girl who loved being the centre of attention and a firm part of the household. For this reason she was moved on to a pet home where she is the apple of an older couple's eye and goes absolutely everywhere with them.

Jane, Devon and Robyn get regular updates on Aja's shenanigans,

Tino was sent over to Robyn to be shown as a part of the Kilgarrin Show Team. While he was campaigned by Kilgarrin, Tino placed in the top 5 lowchen in Victoria 2 years in a row. After a very successful career, he had one litter and was moved on to a show home in Tasmainia.

He won;

1x Best Junior In Group 1

#1 Puppy Dog at Melbourne Royal 2009

#11 Best Of Breed Challenge 2009 (National)

#3 Best Of Breed Challenge 2009 (Victoria)

Robyn and Devon found themselves in a corner breeding wise as they had one been able to retain dogs thus far. So they purchased Maddie to ensure that they could continue breeding.

Maddie titled with Robyn on the end of the lead, alongside Tino. At this point, Devon was showing infrequently as she was working weekends.

When Maddie finished her show career, she did so with a smattering of Class In Group awards and some classes at the Melbourne Royal. During her show career she was in the Top 10 Lowchen in Victoria as well as â€‹Top 50 Rising Star Toy in Victoria 2009

She whelped twice to three different sires. Her first litter has had 100% success in the ring. Her next whelping produced one champion who has gone on to be a most influential sire in Australian Lowchen.

Because of Maddie's friendly demeanor and happy-go-lucky nature, she was a family favorite for anyone who stepped foot into the house and made many fast friends. When a Kilgarrin pet owner voiced interest in an older lowchen to keep their current Kilgarrin Lowchen company, Robyn and Devon knew that although they would sorely miss Maddie, she would be a welcome addition to another Lion Pride.
